It's a Doula thing....by Ashley Lyles

I love being a doula because I get to meet new moms.
I love explaining what a doula is and all the valuable information.
I love that my moms appreciate the one on one doula care model.
I love that they are excited that I will be with them at the birth.
I love that my moms allow me to come see them in their home.
I love seeing everyone smile right about the birth.
I love that all my moms are getting accurate information that I did not receive when I was pregnant.
I love seeing a newborn on their mammas chest...skin to skin.
I love when a daddy supports my moms at such a vulnerable time.
I think you get it.... I LOVE being a DOULA.

    I am so jealous, I have wanted to do this ever since I was first pregnant 11 years ago. You do a wonderful work and more women need a 'real' education about birth...people like you are going to do just that. Keep up the good work.
